HALLE BERRY
Before becoming an actor, Halle Berry used to be a model. She participated in many beauty contests and won the runner-up in the Miss America Contest. In 1989, she was not satisfied with just being a model, so she moved to New York to pursue her dream of acting. But the initial career development did not go smoothly. Due to lack of money, she even had to live in a shelter temporarily. Her situation didn’t improved until the end of that year when she got her role in the ABC series Living Dolls.
The breakthrough development of Halle Berry’s career was the collaboration with Eddie Murphy in the comedy romance film Boomerang in 1992. Halle Berry’s 2001 movie Monster’s Ball won her the Academy Award for Best Actress. In recent years, Berry is still active in the film industry and has begun to work as a TV series producer and film director.
