Elizabeth Taylor

Elizabeth Taylor has started her career as an actress since she was a teenager. At the age of 12, she played the leading role in National Velvet. For this reason, she was specially arranged for several months to train horseback riding. This movie made her a popular teenage star. Although MGM had brought great economic benefits to Taylor, she does not like MGM’s excessive control over her filming.

The collaboration between Taylor and MGM ended in 1960, but the last film won her the best actress of The Academy Awards, although she didn’t like the role. In the late 1960s, Taylor’s career began to decline, she continued to star in movies and TV series until 1980s, and then began to devote herself to charity work. As an important star in American film history, she was evaluated by the American Film Academy as the seventh largest female screen legendary role in 1999.
