BARBARA EDEN
Barbara Eden was born in 1931 and her family was affected by the Great Depression, so Eden’s mother trained her and her sister to sing when they were young. When she was a teenager, Eden sang for local bands in nightclubs to make money. At the age of 16, she entered the San Francisco Conservatory of Music to learn singing and also participated in performances with the Elizabeth Holloway School of Theatre.
Eden’s screen career began in the Johnny Carson Show in 1955. She appeared in a series of feature TV shows. Her film career started in the cooperation of the 20th Century Fox Studios, after the filming of The Yellow Canary in 1963, She left 20th Century Fox Studios. In the 1990s, Eden starred in the stage play Same Time, Next Year and Last of the Red Hot Lovers, the latter touring in 11 cities.
