Nancy McKeon might be the luckiest actress after she, along with her parents, was granted to have a private audience – none other than Pope John Paul II – for the comedy series The Facts of Life. In an interview with Tom Snyder in 1998, she described the experience as electricity flowed in her body to see the pope watching them. She even explained that Pope John Paul had an aura like that was painted around figures.

The Facts of Life is McKeon’s most well-known work. Her other TV series and movies include Working Girl, Can’t Hurry Love, Style & Substance, etc. Not everyone knows that McKeon dated Michael J Fox for three years when they met on the set of High School U.S.A. (1983). However, she ended up marrying film technician Marc Andrus in 2003. For 17 years, they remain to be happily married.
