RAQUEL WELCH

Raquel Welch was born in 1940. When she was a teenager, she studied ballet for 10 years. At that time, her dream was to become a ballerina, but the coach told her that she lacked the talent for figure. When she was 14 years old, Welch won the title of Miss Photogenic. In high school, she participated in the local beauty contest and won the titles of Miss La Jolla and Miss San Diego.

In 1967, Raquel Welch starred in a movie for the first time. It was the British spy movie Fathom. Although she had no experience at the time, she showed a very professional spirit. Raquel Welch got everyone’s attention when she played the role of Cora in Fantastic Voyage. As her fame started to rise, she got a contract with 20th Century Fox.
