Justine Bateman used to be an actress, appearing in Family Ties, Satisfaction, Men Behaving Badly, The TV Set, Desperate Housewives, and Californication. However, now, she is a known writer, director, and producer. She was the woman behind the movie Violet, which starred starring Olivia Munn, Luke Bracey, and Justin Theroux, and Five Minutes, which premiered at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival.

Bateman was eager to finish her studies, but her contractual obligations with Family Ties got in the way. However, she did everything to complete her college and eventually got a degree in Computer Science and Digital Media Management at UCLA in 2016. She is also a licensed pilot and certified scuba diver. Bateman released his first book in 2018, called Fame: The Hijacking of Reality. She also established a fashion design company in 2000, but closed it after only three years of operation.. She is also a licensed pilot and certified scuba diver.
