BRIGITTE BARDOT
Do you remember this French actress? Brigitte Bardot was born in Paris in 1934 and is a famous actor and singer. Bardot was discovered as a model by fashion magazine ELLE and became famous for it. In 1952, she first came into contact with movies and starred in the comedy Crazy For Love. Since then, Bardot has been playing roles in small movies until 1956, the four films she starred in gave her the first success in her acting career.
Bardot’s biggest commercial success in France was the movie The Truth in 1960, which was one of the three most popular movies in that year. And this film won the nomination of The Academy Awards for best foreign language film. In 1973, before Bardot’s 39th birthday, she announced her retirement and no longer worked as an actress. After that, Bardot focused her energy on protecting animal rights and established the Brigitte Bardot Foundation for this purpose. This effort has continued to today.
