Remember The Ed Sullivan Show? This program was broadcast from 1948 to 1971 and lasted for 23 years. It is regarded by the public as one of the most wonderful TV programs. Ed Sullivan’s first job was in a local newspaper, and later worked in several newspapers, responsible for column projects. His TV career began in 1948 as the CBS evening TV variety show Toast of the Town, which was the predecessor of the famous The Ed Sullivan Show later.
The show was originally broadcast in theaters. Although the show was criticized by critics at the beginning at that time, which did not prevent it from becoming a classic TV show. Ed Sullivan is one of the greatest celebrities in the history of American TV. In 1996, the TV Guide ranked him 50th in the list of the 50 greatest TV stars of all time.
