Dolly Parton is known worldwide for her country music. She started singing as a child performing on local radios, and appearing on TV. When she was ten years old, she appeared on The Cas Walker Show, and by 13, she was already recording her own single entitled Puppy Love. After graduating high school, Dolly moved on to Nashville and began as a songwriter for various artists such as Skeeter Davis and Bill Phillips, among others.

In 1967, she released her debut album, Hello, I’m Dolly. From there, she’d garner commercial success along with the releases of her succeeding albums until the 1980s. In 2007, she founded Dolly Records. Throughout her career, she has composed more than 5,000 songs with over a hundred million records sold worldwide. To her credit, she was inducted into the prestigious Country Hall of Fame in 1999.
