PIERCE BROSNAN
We know the actor best for portraying James Bond in the 007 movies, but did you know that Pierce Brosnan is just as heroic in real life? Besides having a long and illustrious career in Hollywood, starring in one blockbuster to another, he is also well-known for actively participating in charitable causes. Since 2001, the former 007 actor has served as the UNICEF Ambassador for Ireland. He has also been participating in news conferences since the 1990s in an effort to draw more attention towards Greenpeace and their campaign to end nuclear testing.
In fact, he bravely boycotted the French premiere of GoldenEye in protest of France’s nuclear testing program. Needless to say, this is a man who walks the talk. The degree of passion he has for the causes he supports is uncanny. Reports suggest that quite a chunk of his personal wealth goes to different fundraisers.
