If there’s any strong and genuine woman out there in Hollywood, Geena Davis might be on the top of everyone’s lists. Over the years, she showed what a woman can do in the entertainment scene and she has all the accolades to go along with it. Because of the personality she portrayed, she often plays characters that have strong personalities.Geena wanted to be an actor since she was a child. In her high school, Geena was excluded by her classmates because of her height.

She began her early career as a waiter. Later she became a model, working for victoria’s secret. Geena’s film debut was in Tootsie. Later, she starred in Beetlejuice, The Daughters of Thelma and Louise, The Long Kiss Goodnight, etc and gained her fame. Aside from doing full-time work as an actress, she also put a lot of investments in advocating equal rights for women. She also earned herself an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree back in 2009 from Bates College because of her contributions.
