Karen Mulder
The 1990s were the pinnacle of Karen Mulder’s modeling career. Similar to Stephanie Seymour, she also joined the “Look of the Year” contest by Elite Model Management, only this time, it’s in 1985, and she finished second. That credential launched her runway career to a certain degree as she received modeling offers from international brands such as Versace and Valentino. It was only in the 1990s, however, that she became a household name after she appeared on Vogue and worked with Victoria’s Secret.
Mulder took a brief hiatus from modeling in 2000 but eventually returned to the catwalk in 2007. Little did she know that her hiatus slowly led to her career’s decline. She also made an effort to pursue music and acting but only received minor success. Not much is known about her today, but we believe there’s no one who can replace her quintessential modeling style.
