George Lucas and Mellody Hobson

Film producer, director, and cinematic visionary George Lucas, who currently has a net worth of $5 billion, started dating Mellody Hobson back in 2006. The pair met at a business conference. Hobson earned her bachelor’s degree from Princeton University back in 1991. She is a Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Ariel Investment Trust, one of America’s biggest African-American-owned money management and mutual fund companies.

The businesswoman is also a regular contributor to the program CBS This Morning, where she talks about financial matters. The couple declared their engagement in January 2013, and finally tied the knot in June of that year, at George’s Skywalker Ranch. Together, they share one daughter, Everest Hobson Lucas, who was born through surrogacy in August 2013.
