Before she went on to become one of 21st century’s biggest hosts, Ellen DeGeneres first explored stand-up comedy. She later appeared in films but focused mostly on voice acting in the duration of her career. Ellen is most notable for her voice-contribution in the 2003 animated movie Finding Nemo and its spin-off Finding Dory in 2016. She also starred in her namesake sitcom, but became a household name thanks to her daytime television talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Some of her hosting gigs include the Grammy Awards, Primetime Emmys, and Academy Awards. In 2019, she took home an annual salary of  $80.5 million, making her the second-highest-paid TV host that year.

The now 63-year-old comedian’s estimated net worth as of 2021 is at $370 million. Her annual salary is reported to stand at roughly $75 million. DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi are known for their millions-worth of real estate investments.
