Bob Barker – $10 million

How much does a game show host earn? Do they get more than the winners of the games? Bob Barker can certainly answer that question. He hosted the longest-running game show, If the Price is Right from 1972 to 2007. For a long while, from 1956 to 1975, he also was the host of Truth or Consequences.

Despite having passed the popularity height of his hosting career, reports say that he was still paid $10 million annually. That is a huge amount, but certainly commensurate to the earnings of the show. Despite his high yearly earnings though, Barker only has $70 million to his name now, partly because he had to pay lawyers when he encountered legal troubles in the 1990s. It isn’t a total loss, because he has also made many donations to a number of animal rights organizations and causes.
