JANET JACKSON
Janet Jackson is the youngest child in her family. Like her brother Michael Jackson, she is also an outstanding singer. She is the highest ranked female singer on the Billboard year-end black album chart. In 1984, Jackson released his second album Dream Street, which ranked 147th on the billboard charts. When Jackson released two albums, she decided to leave her family and live independently. She said “I just wanted to get out of the house, get out from under my father, which was one of the most difficult things that I had to do. ”
Outside of stage and acting career, in February 2011, Janet Jackson and David Ritz co-authored a book True You: A Journey to Finding and Loving Yourself. In the book, Janet shared the experience of her struggle with weight and confidence, in order to help those who have the same troubles as her. A pleasant surprise is that fan letters are also published in the book. In the following month, the book topped the New York Times’ Best Seller list.
