Christopher Walken was born in New York and initially worked as a lion tamer in a circus. He studied at Hofstra University but would later drop out after landing a role in a Broadway production. Christopher also attended dance classes in the Washington Dance studio before becoming an actor. He started his career in theater and would later transition to TV and gain relative success in the industry. He transitioned in the TV scene during the Golden Age of Television and appeared in several variety shows and dramas.

In the 1970s, he ventured into the film industry with his debut film, starring alongside Sean Connery, in The Anderson Tapes. In 1977, to his credit, Christopher was awarded an Academy Award for his performance in the movie The Deer Hunter. Thereafter, there was no stopping Christopher. He would go on to star in a ton of films, appearing in over 100 productions over his illustrious career. Described to be eccentric and diverse in his acting capabilities, he is considered to be one the most respected actors of his generation.
