Carrie Underwood was the 4th winner of the famous singing competition American Idol. With the popularity she gained from the contest, her debut album, Some Hearts, became the best-selling solo female debut album in the history of country music. The album’s commercial success earned her three Grammy Awards. Her succeeding album releases received equal acclaim and commercial success, cementing her spot in mainstream pop-culture.
Apart from her lucrative music career, Carrie also delves into other ventures. Thus far, she has signed multiple multi-million-dollar product endorsement deals. Among them are Nintendo, Skechers, Hershey’s, Target, and Olay, among others. Carrie also has philanthropic investments and is a well-known advocate of PETA and the Humane Society of the United States. Moreover, Carrie is known to support young struggling musicians. In 2009, she took part in the donation of at least $120,000 in musical instruments for various music programs in Checotah, Oklahoma.
