Sally Field is not only a well-renowned actress, but she’s also respected behind the scenes as a director. Her contributions to the industry allowed her to cash-in a couple of awards and recognition under her wing, including three Primetime Emmy Awards, a pair of Academy and Golden Globe Awards. Field’s mother is the actress Margaret Field and her father is a salesman. After her parents divorced, Field lived with her mother, who remarried to a stuntman. Field later recalled that she was treated badly by her stepfather during that period.

Field began her acting career in 1965. She first started her journey on television with Gidget, but received mediocre response. In 1976, her Hollywood stock rose thanks to her part in Sybil and paved the way for her to become one of the greats in the industry. Field also showed good signs of money management and wasn’t involved in any bankruptcy reports in the past years. Recently, Sally Field has actively advocated women’s rights, supported homosexuality and participated in climate protests.
