Kristy McNichol is the most famous child star in the 1970s. At the age of 14, she starred as Letitia “Buddy” Lawrence in the TV series Family. She won the 1977 and 1979 Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress because of this series. In 1978, Kristy McNichol entered the music industry and recorded the albums Kristy and Jimmy McNichol, among which the single Page by Page ranked highest on the Billboard.
